Creating a Six & Seven-figure Income? How Did We Do It?

 

People often ask how I was able to grow a six and seven figure income with our first two companies in such a relatively short time.

The answer is that I saw my goal with laser focus, understood what needed to be done each day to move me closer to it, and took action.

The critical ingredient is getting off your butt, and taking action every single day. It’s as simple as that. That doesn’t mean working at it one day, and then doing nothing for the next three or four.

It doesn’t mean using the excuse that you have to work… or that you’re in school… and there just isn’t time. It doesn’t mean you try for three or four weeks, and then just quit, because you’re “too busy with everything else”.

It means every day, you do at least one thing to move you closer to that goal.

“A lot of people have ideas,” writes Nolan Bushnell, “but there are few who decide to do something about them now. Not tomorrow. Not next week. But today. The true entrepreneur is a doer, not a dreamer.”

When Jim Rohn and Lawrence Thompson sat us down in that hotel room, back in 1981, they didn’t say, “Let’s give this a try for a couple months.” They said, “We’re going to become wealthy, and here’s what we’re going to do for the next 90-days to get us to our first goal.”

And that’s exactly what we did.
